Recently, our team had the opportunity to put our skills to the test at the Deal Me In 3.0 workshop, hosted by Michael E. Hoffman and John M. McNamara of Stifel Financial Corp.
Focused on analyzing a company’s solid waste markets portfolio, the workshop brought together members of NWRA’s Future Industry Leaders Alliance, NWRA’s Women’s Council, and other NWRA members. Divided into teams, we were tasked with conducting financial and business analyses to determine whether certain assets or businesses should be divested.
The challenge was exhilarating, requiring us to delve deep into market dynamics, financial statements, and strategic implications. Each team brought their A-game, applying expertise and creativity to craft compelling recommendations.
Afterward, the teams presented their findings and recommendations to a panel of judges comprising public company chief financial officers and corporate development professionals. The pressure was on as we showcased our analyses and defended our strategic insights.
Among the standout performers were two of our own team members, Lee Keafer and Mitch Delorenzo, whose contributions were instrumental in clinching the win.
